Lactic Acid
An AHA with a softer, more hydrating reputation.
Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin surface and can improve dullness and rough texture. It is usually positioned as a gentler AHA, but concentration and pH still determine how assertive a formula feels.
Worth knowing
Start a few nights a week and use daily sunscreen; overuse can irritate.
